UV laser marking machines put a cold, high-contrast mark on plastics, PCBs, glass, ceramics and other heat-sensitive parts at 355 nm. We supply 3W to 10W systems in three formats: desktop, portable and fly (inline).

Who this family is for

Use UV when fiber would melt, yellow, crack or smear the part — typical of many plastics, painted electronics, glass and medical components. It is the usual marker for PCB identification.

It is the wrong first choice for deep metal IDs, for wood and acrylic cutting, and for gold hallmarking. See fiber , dot peen , CO2 and gold fiber .

How it works

A 355 nm UV source feeds a galvo head. The short wavelength is absorbed in a thin surface layer, so heat into the bulk is low (“cold marking”). Software is typically EZCAD. Cooling is air or water, depending on power.

FAQs

Why UV instead of fiber on plastic?
Fiber heat can melt or haze many plastics. UV marks with less bulk heating. We confirm on a sample.
Will it deep-engrave steel?
That is not what UV is for. Use fiber or dot peen.
3W vs 10W?
Contrast, speed and darker plastics push power up. Set after a trial.
